Due to the high amount of fructose in Maryami dates, they are most suited for those who have diabetes. It is also suitable for asthma, colon and stomach cancer, since it is rich in potassium. The Zahedi variety is one of the major species of dried date fruit and has an impressive annual yield. Considered the most frequently used variety of date fruit in Iran. Iranian Zahedi dates contain a variety of minerals (such as potassium, magnesium and protein), vitamins (such as vitamin A, vitamin B complex and vitamin C) and sugars (such as fructose). The Rabbi dates are amongst the best loved and earliest date varieties in Iran and globally.
