Purchase of wild strawberries

Wild strawberries are cherished in the UK for their distinctive aroma and flavor, making them a sought-after seasonal delicacy. Due to their delicate nature and scarcity, they are often sold frozen or as purees.

By August 2026, wholesale prices for frozen wild strawberry puree hovered around £20.80 per kilogram. Fresh berries picked in early September 2026 sold for approximately £3.95 per kilogram. Wholesale punnets of 400g cost about £2.75 each, equating to nearly £6.88 per kilogram. These reflect the premium nature of wild strawberries and the labor-intensive harvesting process.

Where can you buy wild strawberries?

Fresh wild strawberries become scarce in the UK during autumn, but frozen or preserved options remain available.

The International Agricultural Exchange, Agro-Market24, serves as a reliable source, connecting growers and buyers across Europe. This platform features various agricultural products, including specialty fruits like wild strawberries.

Agro-Market24 makes it easy to find verified sellers even outside the main season. It’s an excellent resource for UK buyers aiming to secure wild strawberries for cooking or commercial use while ensuring quality and freshness.

Where can you sell wild strawberries?
